Miele WEI865 WCS W1 Excellence Washing Machine F138 Error Code

Excellent Channel. I just subscribed. Quick question. I can pay/tip for your time. I have a Miele WEI865 WCS W1 Excellence Washing Machine with an f138 code. It is a year old and under 5 year warranty but they can't service for a month. I live in the US. Tipping and also shop vacuuming out the water by removing the filter and putting the hose near the impellor. After replacing the cap and turning back on it would work again but I'd need to manually drain it each time in that fashion. While that was annoying, now I can't use it at all or clear the code at all. Anything that a homeowner may be able to try without getting in over his head? I now have it on concrete paver blocks to keep it off the floor with a fan. I don't see any water under the unit.Thank you!!

The F138 error code on a Miele washing machine usually means the anti-flood device is activated at the bottom of the machine. This could be due to water being thrown out during the spin cycle. I would definitely recommend checking the pump system and inspecting inside the machine for any leaks.

I don't have much technical information on machines made for the U.S. market. You didn't mention if the machine was full of water when the error code appeared. It sounds like the machine is full of water and then stops with this error. After you manually empty the water, it goes through to the next stage.

This suggests there might be a problem with the pump, sump hose, or another part of the water emptying system. These need to be checked. Pay close attention to the impeller on the pump, ensuring it turns when powered.
