Bosch WAN24100GB/24 Washing Machine Stops After 10 Seconds

Hi, I have Bosch WAN24100GB/24 Washing Machine and whatever programme I try, it stops after 10 seconds. There is no error code. I have to open the door manually and reset the machine, but the same thing happens.I have replaced the door interlock and the pressure switch. Both PCBs look fine to the eye with no obvious fault. I've checked the motor (it does not have carbon brushes) and cleaned the pump. Still, the same problem - starts ....and then stops after 10 seconds. I have a video if that helps. Thank you so much. Sorry to hear about the trouble with your Bosch washing machine. Your question wasn't detailed enough for a precise answer, but I'll assume the machine turns off after 10 seconds and the digital display goes blank. This might be due to an intermittent power supply.

To check this, take the lid off the machine and attach your multimeter to the two wires coming into the machine. Check if you have 240 volts in the UK or 220 volts in Europe coming into the electronic suppressor at the back right-hand side. Run the test, and when the machine cuts out, see if you still have voltage at that component. If the power supply is good, there are two wires coming out of the electrical filter going to the circuit board. Test these wires too. If power reaches the circuit board even when the machine fails, then your power supply is fine up to that point.

This suggests a possible problem with the circuit board. It could be a bad connection or a failing component under load. Diagnosing this is tricky without seeing the machine. The three-phase motor on your machine doesn't have carbon brushes, so a motor fault or drive circuit board fault might also cause it to cut out after 10 seconds when it tries to rotate.

If it's a circuit board fault, repairs can be expensive. You could try inspecting all tracks and components on the circuit board for dry joints. A dry joint means solder isn't attached correctly, causing power disconnection under load.

I've included a video about intermittent electrical faults that explains things better than I can in an email. There's also an exploded diagram of your machine with reference numbers for all components. You can match these numbers to find full Bosch part numbers.

If you need a new circuit board, it will be costly, so shop around. Look for second-hand machines with different faults or damaged parts from which you can salvage a circuit board. Engineers sometimes sell stock online, so check eBay, Gumtree, or Facebook Marketplace.
