Beko WMI61241 Integrated Washing Machine Light On Display Panel Does Not Work
I will try and help with this problem about Beko WMI61241 Integrated Washing Machine,
Good morning, Kenneth. Sorry to hear about the issue with your washing machine. If the power light isn't coming on at the front, there are a few things you can check. First, you'll need a multimeter. Remove the lid of the machine and do a voltage test on the power cable entering the electrical suppressor. You should see 240 volts there.
Next, check the two wires coming out of the suppressor that go to the front of the machine. These wires either connect to the circuit board or pass through to the switch, which is part number 180 in the diagram below. This switch looks like the on-off button. Ensure that power is entering this switch correctly at 240 volts and also exiting at 240 volts when pressed. This should activate the circuit board.
The circuit board will have two wires from the switch that need checking too. If you've done all these tests and still have no display lighting up, you might have a problem with the circuit board, which can be quite expensive to replace.
I've included an exploded diagram and wiring diagram of your machine below to help diagnose the problem. There's also a useful video about intermittent faults on washing machines worth watching. It shows you where all the wires go and pin configurations on the circuit board. Check all connections to ensure there are no loose fittings.
You can open up the circuit board after disconnecting the machine and inspect for any blown connections or components like diodes or resistors, which are usually visible if damaged. This depends on your electrical skills.
