Whirlpool FSCR 12430 Washing Machine Faulty Bearing
I have a Whirlpool FSCR 12430 Washing Machine. Just wondering if it is possible to replace the faulty bearing or is it not possible? I have taken it partially apart but wanted to ask if it is possible before I start try to pull the bearing out. And also, the stator and magnet. Do they wear out to the point that they need to be replaced.?
Hi Daniel, and thank you for getting in touch regarding your Whirlpool FSCR 12430 Washing Machine.
To check whether the drum bearings can be replaced, unplug the washing machine and remove the lid, following the manufacturer’s safety instructions. Look at the outer drum: if it is secured with bolts and separates into two halves, it may be serviceable. If the halves appear welded or bonded together, it is likely a sealed drum, and replacing the bearings may not be practical. The construction can vary, so confirm the design for your exact model before ordering parts or taking the machine apart.
If the drum is separable, a bearing specialist may be able to identify a suitable replacement set. Check the numbers stamped on the bearings and the markings on the seal, and provide those details when enquiring. Match parts to the exact model and drum assembly, as similar-looking bearings are not necessarily interchangeable.
I’m not sure what you mean by “the data” in your message. Please send a little more information about the details you’re looking for, and I’ll do my best to help. I’ll also see whether I can find an exploded diagram or other technical information for this model. Availability may be limited because you’re outside the UK.
Good luck with the repair, and please take care when working on the machine.
