Samsung WW90T684DLN/S1 Washing Machine Main RCD Tripping on the Final Spin Cycle

Motor is part number DC93-00630A and about £130.

I'm glad you want to teach the children about washing machine repairs. But if it's the motor, as you can see, it's not cheap. I wouldn't try to fix it under the warranty period. 

it's best to show them the wiring loom in case any wires are touching the chassis and causing the RCD to trip. However, don't touch the machine yourself, as it could affect your warranty. It's better to call Samsung to do the job.

The children can watch if the engineer comes when they are available. There might also be an issue with the printed circuit board, so it's safer not to do the repair yourself.

I appreciate what you're trying to achieve, but maybe get an old washing machine from eBay for £15 to £20. Teach them on that one instead, ensuring your wife's machine works perfectly after the manufacturer fixes it.
