Samsung WW80K5410UX Washing Machine Needs De-Scaling & Mold Cleaning
I've just watched the video on cleaning mold and crud. I am about to follow the guidelines on doing a "service wash" with dishwasher tabs. It refers to a second video on treating for hard water limescale. My water is quite hard and this woud be useful. I have searched and cannot find this video anywhere on the site. Please can you provide a link. I used the other Samsung dismantling video to strip mine down, remove all the pipe work and clean it. A very clear and excellent video.

Thanks for your question. Sorry, I never made the descaling video because I live in a soft water area and haven't needed to descale a machine yet but it is on my list to do.
Here's the full process:
if you use the drum clean or boil wash on your washing machine, put some old rags inside. When the machine heats the water, add a couple of kettlefuls of cold water. This will raise the water level and help clean the drum.
You'll need to decide how much descaler to use. There are tablets or liquids available. Make sure it’s not too strong and consider turning off the machine once it reaches the right temperature, letting it soak for a few hours. This will help with descaling.
After the first descaling, repeat it a few times over the next few months. The top of the drum might still have scale even if the bottom is clean. Doing this regularly, especially in hard water areas, is important. It will make the heating system work better and remove calcium from pipes and other parts.
