Miele T 8685 C Condenser Tumble Dryer Trips on Heat Settings
My Miele T 8685 C Condenser Tumble Dryer runs perfectly fine on a cold/air-fluff setting but trips the moment you switch to heating any recommendation what to do? I am worrying repair man will say its not repairable or will over charge.. Thank you
Hi Sarka, if your Miele T 8685 C trips the electrics when the heater starts, the issue is likely damp near the heating area. This typically occurs when air isn't circulating effectively through the dryer or when the heat exchanger isn't converting warm, moist air back into water properly. The collected water should drain into the collection tray.
To resolve this, clean the entire system thoroughly. Moisture reaching the heating element can cause earth leakage, which triggers your RCD (residual current device). You'll notice the dryer won't trip on the cold air setting because the heater remains inactive during that cycle.
We've sent you an email with contact details should you need further guidance. Since manufacturers like Miele provide limited technical documentation for these machines, our team is here to help troubleshoot directly.
