Hi Lynn, sorry to hear about the problem with your Intercept dishwasher. If it is turning itself on, it is usually due to one of two things.

First, if you look at the diagram below, on the second page, you will see a button system marked as number 5 on the display. Dirt or moisture might have built up inside this unit or on the actual board connections, causing the machine to activate.

Another possible problem is with the main program, marked as number 11 in the diagram. It might have a fault and be auto-starting for some unknown reason.

It's hard for me to be certain without seeing the machine. However, I suggest checking all electrical connections and inspecting the circuit board. Moisture or dampness on the circuit board could be causing this issue. You might also have a bad connection.

Inspect everything, reassemble, and then try the machine again.
