Customer Question

Hi, I have an Indesit BTW L60300 EE/N Washing Machine. Both left and right drum flanges have deteriorated and broke. Now the Drum is no longer usable. Are there better quality flanges that will not deteriorate from 10% salty water? Is it possible to send photos so you can see the problem?? Best Regards George

Hi George,

Thanks for reaching out about the broken drum flanges on your Indesit BTW L60300 EE/N washing machine.

Slim line top loaders aren't particularly common in the UK market, which is why finding replacement parts can sometimes be challenging. However, if you're experiencing issues with the drum flanges on your Indesit BTW L60300 EE/N, there are a few things worth understanding before you proceed.

The parts you're likely referring to are the two hinges that control the entrance flaps to the drum. When you lift the lid, these hinges allow the flaps to open so you can access the drum interior. Over time, these hinges can deteriorate, you did not say how old the machine was so I can't judge the matter.

In many cases, genuine manufacturer parts will provide the best fit and longevity. However, depending on the extent of the damage and the specific design, stainless steel hinges from alternative suppliers may also be suitable — though this requires careful assessment of the dimensions and mounting specifications.

If you're considering a repair, we'd recommend gathering some clear photographs of the damaged hinges from multiple angles. This will help identify exactly which components need replacing and whether alternative parts might work for your situation.

To get a proper assessment, please attach your images to our contact us page, and our team will review them and advise on the best replacement options for your machine.
