Hotpoint Tumble Dryer fetc70 noise and not extracting water
weird whining noise at back from white unit where two tubes exit and go into water collection tray which seems to be always empty now.

this is quite a vague description from what I understand you're talking about the pump unit at the back of the machine, you have two pipes that come from this then they go to the collection tray at the top of the machine. the whining noise that you are talking about may be the pump you can see this in the diagram below part number 634
it's the pump is unable to lift the water from the bottom chamber to the collection tray at the top this will be the problem.
