hotpoint TCFS83BGG condenser tumble dryer takes too long to dry
I have this machine since February 2020 and before it took 1 hour to dry and now it takes almost 2 hours.i always use the same program on the dryer. the towels can take up to 3 to 4 hours to dry which is ridiculous and if i just put a small amount of clothing in takes one to two hours please could you help me find the faults with this condenser tumble dryer I have seen some of your videos but not sure which is relevant to my machine
I will try and help with your hotpoint TCFS83BGG condenser tumble dryer problem
the first thing I would check is to make sure all the filters are clean on the condensor is not clogged then I would check the pump is working correctly this takes the water from the pump compartment at the back of the machine to the collection tray at the top. also make sure the fan blade has not got any fluff built upon it as this also is a common fault, if all these are good then you may have a problem with the heating system or one of the thermostats remember a tumble dryer heater has got a high and low setting this means there are two parts to the element a high heat and a low Heat when the tumble dryer is drying on fast it uses both side of the element to create somewhere in the region of 2 kilowatt of energy to the clothes fast on low it would only use say half.
