Hotpoint SUTCD97B6PM tumble dryer. The dryer takes longer to dry clothes
My tumble dryer was very clogged up with fluff I have now cleaned it all out but still have no heat
I will try and help your Hotpoint SUTCD97B6PM Condenser Tumble Dryer problem
As this is a condenser tumble dryer there are a few different reasons why the machine will not heat up, you need to test the two thermostats on top of the heater which you can see in the diagram below I have also included a video to assist you in this, then you have a forward NTC sensor or possibly a thermostat depending type fitted.
The tumble dryer will also not heat if you have a problem with the pump system you need to make sure that the water is transferring to the tank at the top there is also an electrical switch in here which can sometimes become faulty or the float can jam. Please also do a test on the heating element itself there are two sides to this heating element a low and a high heat each field will have slightly different ohms reading but you can use Ohm's law calculator to work out what the total wattage should be
