Creda TCR2 Condenser Tumble Dryer Condenser Unit Won't Fit In
I have a Creda TCR2 Condenser Tumble Dryer. Last time when replacing the drive belt tried to put condenser back in it's location but will not fit in fully without forcing in and jamming. Taken dryer apart many times over the years with no issue, but now will not go in. Cannot see anything that is stopping it, bought another condenser thinking it was the original one but no, any thoughts please?

The most likely cause is that the casing has warped from prolonged heat exposure. When this happens, the condenser unit cannot slide fully into the housing, even though it should fit properly when new.
What to check:
- Examine the back of the condenser unit carefully. It needs to sit slightly over at the back so the clips can lock it in place securely.
- Look at the inner casing around the condenser housing for any visible signs of warping or deformation.
- Try sliding the condenser in gently from different angles to see if it catches on a specific point.
If the condenser cannot slide fully into the housing despite being the correct part, warping of the casing is the most probable cause. Unfortunately, this type of damage typically requires either careful realignment of the casing or replacement of the affected component.
