Cooker Hood does not take away the smell of food

Hi Paul I have a cooker hood in my flat but it does not take the air out of the room it only recirculate’s it but over the last month or so the smell of chips can be smelt all over the flat, is there anything I can do to stop this.

Yes you can replace the filters especially the carbonized one’s this will improve thing no end.
