Sorry to hear about the problem with your Bush TD7CNBCW Condenser Tumble Dryer.

It can definitely be frustrating when you can't find a guide for your exact model, but the good news is that most of these Bush tumble dryers share a very similar internal design, so replacing the drive belt is entirely doable at home with a bit of patience.

Before you start doing anything, please make sure the machine is completely unplugged from the electricity supply. To get started, you will need to remove the top lid of your machine and then turn it around to access the back. You will want to carefully disconnect the wiring running to the heater and the thermostat so they are safely out of the way. After that, you can undo the screws holding the back panel in place and lift it away to expose the rear of the drum and the motor area below.

When fitting the new belt on your Bush TD7CNBCW, you really want to avoid pulling the whole drum out of the cabinet, as reattaching it on the front support pads can be a massive headache. Instead, a great trick is to undo the couple of screws on just one side of the rear support bracket, gently lift the drum a fraction, and slip the new belt through the gap. Once it is through, you can screw that side back together and do exactly the same thing on the opposite side until the belt is fully looped around the middle of the drum.

Once the belt is around the drum, you need to pull the slack down towards the motor at the bottom. You will need to push down firmly on the tension pulley wheel to give yourself enough slack to stretch the grooved side of the belt over the motor shaft. Once it is seated, give the drum a few full rotations by hand. This is an incredibly important step because it naturally aligns the belt into the exact centre of the pulley wheel and motor shaft so it does not rub against the edges and snap again.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to watch the video fully before you pick up a screwdriver. While the machine in the video might look slightly different on the outside, the physical process of slipping the belt through the back bracket and levering it onto the spring-loaded motor is exactly what you need to do. Watching the visual walkthrough will show you the exact techniques and save you a lot of time and frustration.
