I will try and help with this problem about Bosch WAE24167GB/85 Washing Machine,

Hi Nick, sorry to hear about the trouble with your Bosch washing machine. If the belt has come off and the drum can't rotate, it suggests a serious issue with either the drum spider or collapsing bearings. You're fortunate that this model has a splittable drum, allowing you to take it apart to identify the fault.

Parts for this machine are available, but whether it's worth fixing depends on your time and budget. I've got an exploded diagram of the machine, listing every part at the bottom of the page. Just use the reference number.

If you need a new drum, sometimes you can find a complete washing machine on eBay with a different fault and swap its drum into yours. This is a cheaper solution. Otherwise, you'll need a bearing kit and possibly a drum spider (part 0318 in the diagram), but this isn't cheap as it's attached to the drum. There are some aftermarket parts you might find, but until you take the machine apart to see the problem, I can't offer more help.

Modern machines usually last about five years on average. Sometimes, you might get lucky and find one that lasts longer, but it's rare these days.
