Bosch SMS50C02GB Dishwasher Check Water LED Flashing
Came to use my Bosch SMS50C02GB dishwasher, set a program heard a clicking sound from the PCB and the check water LED started flash. I read that it could be a blockage or an inlet problem. Checked and cleaned all filters on the inlet side, cleaned the basket filter in the tub and made sure the impeller was free to spin. I checked the inlet water solenoid value with a multimeter to due a resistance and continuity check and did not get a reading. I replaced the complete inlet valve but the check water LED continued to flash. I then removed and flushed the existing inlet matrix then refitted after cleaning the contacts. The fault still remained so I fitted a new inlet matrix unfortunately this didn’t resolve the issue. I have also cleaned all the contacts on the PCB and checked that the door latch was working correctly which it is. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Does water enter the machine at all? Does it start filling and then stop? Or does it fill to the correct level, begin the wash cycle, and only then display the flashing light? The point at which the fault appears is crucial, as it will help narrow down whether the problem lies with the water supply, a component within the machine, or the control board.
Could you upload a YouTube video showing the machine from the moment you start it, leaving the camera running until the fault occurs? Please describe what happens as the light begins flashing. This would give me a far clearer picture of what is happening.
I am sorry that I cannot provide workshop manuals or wiring diagrams, as Bosch does not make this information readily available. However, I have found exploded diagrams and other relevant material online and included these for you.
There may be an issue with the printed circuit board or another component, but without knowing precisely when the fault occurs, diagnosis by email remains difficult. I hope you appreciate the complexity of tracing an intermittent machine fault from a distance.
