Customer Question

Hi. My Bosch oven HBL8451UC/01 cooling fan switches on immediately when any mode is on. The problem is, it will switch off before the heat is gone and it will cause the display panel to heat up. Can you please tell me if that is a sensor or a main control panel problem ? Thank you

I will try and help with this problem about Bosch HBL8451UC/01 Oven,

Hi Alex,

Sorry to hear about the issue with your cooling fan running constantly. This could be due to one of two things. Normally, a thermostat activates the fan when the appliance reaches 80 degrees. Since your fan comes on immediately, it suggests a faulty sensor or thermostat.

Your oven's computer controls include a circuit board that uses relays to manage certain functions. It's hard to be precise without seeing the machine, but I would check the exploded diagram below. Look at reference number 0202, which controls the fan motor (0201). Trace the wiring back from the fan motor; it should go through a thermostat. However, it might also connect directly to the circuit board, with a PTS or NTC sensor controlling it.

Without inspecting the machine, it's tough to identify the exact component causing the problem. I hope this helps. I've also included a video below to assist you with cooling fans.
