Beko XTC611S Cooker Oven Fan Makes A Loud Noise
I have a Beko XTC611S cooker oven. Whenever I use the oven, the fan makes a loud rattling noise, almost as if something is loose. It’s getting so noisy that it’s hard to hear anything else in the kitchen. It still seems to work, but I’m worried it might stop functioning completely or be affecting the way my food cooks.
I will try and help with this problem about Beko XTC611S Cooker Oven,
Hi Susan,
I’m sorry to hear about the problem with your Beko XTC611S freestanding cooker. You mentioned a loud noise from the fan, but you didn't specify which fan. There are two fans in these ovens: a cooling fan and a main oven fan. The main oven fan uses the fan oven element to heat the air and circulate it.
Often, the fan blades can become loose or damaged. Sometimes, the motor bearings might also be faulty. To help you, I've added some videos to check the fan motor and provided the wiring diagram and workshop manual for your cooker. The workshop manual is very detailed, covering all components like hot plates, grill, top oven, and bottom oven. It’s over 85 pages long and should help you repair your appliance.
If you look at the exploded diagram below, you’ll see the main body of the Beko XTC611S cooker. The fan blade is reference number 950 and attaches to the motor (number 101) with a nut. Note that this nut tightens anti-clockwise. The noise might be the fan blade hitting the fan guard (number 97). If you need to replace the motor, you’ll have to remove both the fan guard and blade, then access the motor from the back of the cooker.
All necessary information for repairs is on this page. The reference numbers in the diagrams match a full list of parts at the bottom of the page. There’s also a link at the top for a general list of all components in this cooker.
Remember to disconnect the appliance from electricity before working on it and reset the timer to manual afterward to ensure proper function. Check that it heats correctly by setting the thermostat and selector switch.
If you need any more help, feel free to reach out. Take your time with the workshop manual and wiring diagram, and always turn off electrical supply before starting repairs.
I hope this helps with your repair. Have a great Christmas!
All the best,
Paul
