Customer Question

I have a Beko WMB81241LW Washing Machine. Went to start cycle the normal way (closed door and heard it click shut, but play button is flashing. Changed cycle to a 40 and there’s now no temperature showing, changed back to 30 degrees and not showing. Play button still flashing. I’ve unplugged for 2 mins and switched back on and exactly the same. Checked child lock and that’s off.

Hi sorry to hear about the problem with your Beko WMB81241LW Washing Machine,

There are two common problems which I’m aware of one is the door lock may have become faulty and it is also worth checking the start button plastic behind the facial panel as sometimes these plastic strips can break. I will also put the workshop manual and the wiring diagram plus any associated parts on this page to assist you in repairing your machine but do check behind the facial panel to see if any of the plastic probes are broken and it might be a good idea to replace the door lock if these are in good condition as this could be the fault. You will see the spare parts at the botto of this page.
