Sorry to hear about the problem with your Beko washing machine. Let me explain the door interlock and its related components.

If you have to slam the door to start the machine, it sounds like a bad contact on the door interlock. This could be a door lock fault, but sometimes it's because the pin or door hinge has dropped slightly, causing misalignment with the door interlock. If the pin doesn't align correctly, it won't activate the switch inside the door interlock, leading to problems.

Door locks often become faulty over time. If you've had an over-foaming incident (E17), an imbalanced load might have caused excessive vibration during a spin, potentially damaging the door lock. Door locks are not expensive to replace.

Use the reference number from the diagram to match with the part number in the list at the bottom of the page. Check the alignment of the door first to see if there are any visible issues. Sometimes, a cracked or damaged door handle can prevent the pin from activating the door lock.
