Beko WDR7543121W Washer Dryer Leaving Clothes Wet

Customer Question

Hello, I have a Beko WDR7543121W Washer/Dryer, which seems to have developed an odd fault on the dryer.Wash cycle is fine, with clothes merely damp once the spin cycle has completedDrying cycle seems to be running fine - machine feels warm, can here it draining occasionally, but once the cycle has finished the clothes are dripping wet - much wetter than they were at the end of the spin cycle!I called an engineer who stripped the machine down then checked the filters and the condenser, but couldn't find a problem. He suggested it might be an intermittent problem with the drain pump. I tried a fresh load after he'd left (he wasn't about to wait out a drying cycle), but had the same result. I tried extra dying time but no change, and in the end I re-ran the spin/drain cycle to get back to 'just damp' and had to dry the clothes on the house radiators.Do you have any idea what the problem might be? I'm doubtful it's the drain pump as the wash cycle always completes fine, and there's no water in the drum after the drying cycle, only warm very wet clothes. I thought maybe the condenser but the engineer checked that, and I can see water going into the outside drain during the drying cycle.I don't really want to have to call Beko as they charge £145!, but the local engineer didn't seem to have a clue. Many thanks,Dan

I will try and help with this problem about Beko WDR7543121W Washer Dryer,

Hi Dan,

Sorry for the late reply. Let me explain the system to you. I've got the workshop manual, which shows everything you need for this machine. It includes test mode, diagnostics, wiring diagrams, exploded views, and some basic tests.

To start, one of the water valves trickles water down the condensing plate, which is part number 1715 on the diagram. This needs thorough cleaning as it’s crucial for the condensing process. If too much water flows down this plate, it can cause issues.

The blower unit, part number 1714, should blow air through the tubes to the condensing plate. Blockages here can also cause problems. You can strip these parts down to clean them. Clean the fan blade well and remove any fluff around the heating unit.

The pump unit is vital for draining condensed water every few minutes. If your machine is draining correctly, plumbing is likely not an issue. However, check the sump hose for small clothing items that might cause blockages.

Remember, the machine has a set time to empty water. The water from the valve should be a small trickle down the condenser. Sometimes these valves let too much water through or components may not be replaced correctly.

Inspect the pipe running from the water valve to ensure proper flow. If everything seems correct but issues persist, strip and clean all components as blockages can cause problems.

I hope this helps. Feel free to call us if you need more assistance. Again, sorry for the late reply.

Best regards,
Paul

I forgot to mention, the exploded diagrams have part numbers on them. These are reference numbers. You can use these numbers to match up with the list of parts at the bottom of the page. They are links that will automatically search for any component you need.
