I have a Beko KDVF90X fuel range cooker. my main bottom oven kepted tripping so I googled it and brought a new element from Aspares online line it's the same size 1600w etc, I've just fitted the new 1 and it tripped again, so I took the wires off the element and turn the electric back on it didnt trip, the fan worked and the light worked fine, the larger side oven works fine the grill works fine, I googled it again and came across your video you go on to say people don't have testing equipment and to disconnect the wires etc which I did, so do I just go the new element was faulty and buy a new 1, it did come with the connections pierced through the box and 1 of the connections was bent slightly, all the connections at thr back of the oven looked good no corrosion it was like new the oven is 3 1/2 years old. Thanks Richard
I will try and help with this problem about Beko KDVF90X Fuel Range Cooker,
Hi Richard, I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your Beko KDV F90X range cooker. Thank you for describing the fault in detail. You mentioned that the main oven trips the electrical supply, and you bought a new fan oven element, but it was slightly damaged.
The new element might be faulty and causing the problem. You should contact the seller to get a replacement. Once you fit the new element, if the oven still trips, there might be a combined earth fault. This means more than one element could be exceeding safety earth levels on your fuse board. Sometimes, a mix of elements causes this issue.
You will need someone with an insulation tester, also known as a mega, to check each element individually to ensure none are going to earth. It's rare for a fan motor to cause this type of problem; it's usually the elements. If you are confident with electric, you can also get a mega tester via our affiliate link and test it by yourself.
To help with your repair, I've added videos on the three major types of elements in your cooker. I've also included the wiring diagram and workshop manual. Check the selector switches for damage too, as they can sometimes cause faults, though it's rare.
At the bottom of this page, you'll find an exploded diagram of your range cooker with reference numbers for spare parts. First, return the damaged element to the seller and get a replacement to ensure it's in good condition before starting again.
I hope this information helps you fix your oven. Feel free to contact us if you need more assistance.
All the best,
Paul
