Beko KDVF90X Dual Fuel Range Cooker Cuts Out After It’s Been On For a While
Hi there, we have a Beko KDVF90X range cooker, and I’ve noticed that it shuts off unexpectedly after it’s been on for a while. It works fine initially, but then it suddenly cuts out. This happens whether I’m using the oven or the stovetop. Any idea what might be causing this? Should we change any of the elements?
I will try and help with this problem about Beko KDVF90X Dual Fuel Range Cooker,
Hi Sophie,
Sorry to hear about the problem with your Beko KDVF90X cooker. Since it has a gas hob and an electric oven, the issue is likely electrical. You might have a bad connection at the connection block on the back of the cooker or a failing selector switch that’s cutting off the power.
Check for burnt connections on the selector switches and the connection block. I’ve included a full wiring diagram and a workshop manual to help you access all components. The manual has exploded diagrams showing every part of the cooker. There are three different selector switches, and any one of them could be causing the problem.
Inspect each selector switch and the connection block for any signs of burning. All parts for this cooker are listed at the bottom of the page. It’s common for the mains connection block from your kitchen power supply to burn, which can cause issues. Incorrect use of selector switches can also lead to problems.
There are also a couple of thermostats that act as safety cutouts, which might have gone open circuit. Take your time working through the electrical diagram and workshop manual to find any bad connections. Inspecting the timer is also worthwhile, but if it failed, it wouldn’t cut off the whole power supply.
I hope this information is useful. I’m currently away visiting manufacturers around Europe who produce cookers, ovens, and other domestic appliances, but I’m still able to assist you remotely. I will send you a short video explaining what to look for.
All the best, Paul
