I will try and help with this problem about Beko DTKCE80021W Condenser Tumble Dryer,
Hi Francis,
Sorry to hear about the issue with your Beko condenser tumble dryer, model number DTKCE80021W. After checking the diagrams, I can confirm that this dryer has a new motor design. This means the capacitor, which usually causes the motor to hum, is built into the motor itself. So, if there's a problem, you will need to replace the entire motor.
This is an example of built-in obsolescence. In the past, replacing just the capacitor would cost under £15. Now, you have to buy a whole new motor if it’s faulty.
I have obtained the workshop manual for your machine, which includes the wiring diagram. The manual will guide you on how to test the motor and run diagnostic sequences. It will also help you display any error codes stored in the program.
Take your time reading through the workshop manual and diagnostic procedures as they will be very helpful. While it’s rare, a jammed drum could be another issue.
At the bottom of this page, I’ve included exploded diagrams of your machine with reference numbers. These match up with genuine parts listed below as clickable links. There are also links at the top of the page for a full list of spare parts available for this machine.
If you get the machine working again, remember to perform regular maintenance. Fluff build-up can slow down drying cycles and increase energy use. Cleaning the system will improve performance and reduce power consumption.
I hope this information helps you. Good luck with your repair.
All the best,
Paul
