Hi Paul, sorry to hear about the tumble dryer. If the lights are coming on inside the machine, then you most probably have a problem with either the on-off button because it’s got a live and a neutral going in and coming out, you may have a problem with this or you may also have a problem with the plastic fitting underneath the start button sometimes these can get broken.

I am sorry I can’t help you further since I am on way to the IFA trade show in Berlin. On the other hand, I had a chance to get the workshop manual, wiring diagram, and exploded views of the parts for you. If you look at the exploded diagram on the Top Panel Assembly, you want to be looking at 1268 by the look of it and also 180, which is the on-off button. Once you take the lid off, you will be able to gain access to these behind.
