Beko DRCS68S Condenser Tumble Dryer Element Gone
I have a Beko DRCS68S Condenser Tumble Dryer. I think the element has gone. Yeh tumble dryer trips the electric when it’s plugged in and turned on. Do you sell a replacement element for this model?
I will try and help with this problem about Beko DRCS68S Condenser Tumble Dryer,
Hello, Hari I'm sorry to hear about the issue with your Beko DRCS68s condenser tumble dryer. You mentioned that you think the heating element might be broken. Before doing anything else, you should check for blockages in the system. If there's too much moisture around the heating element, it could trip the electricity supply due to dampness.
Condenser tumble dryers can be problematic if not well maintained. At the bottom of the machine, there's a ducting unit that runs from the door filter to the condensing box. Underneath, you might find additional pipes that need to be cleaned. The condensing box can be taken outside and cleaned thoroughly with a hose or pressure washer.
If airflow is inadequate, moisture can recirculate back into the drum and pass over the heating unit. This could cause an electrical trip if there's too much moisture in the air. Dry out the machine thoroughly with a hairdryer on the heating unit before testing it again. Use an old paintbrush and vacuum cleaner to remove any dust inside.
It's rare for a heating unit to fail directly; usually, it goes open circuit, meaning the element is faulty but wouldn't trip the electricity supply. I've obtained the full workshop manual for your machine to help you take it apart and diagnose problems. There are also test procedures included.
Take your time to go through all the additional information provided. There are videos on the website about maintaining condenser tumble dryers, including yours. You can test the heating element with a multimeter to check for continuity.
At the bottom of the page, you'll find exploded diagrams of your machine with all parts listed and clickable links for any component you need. If you have a faulty element, use these links to obtain a new one, which should arrive within a few days.
