Beko DCX83100W Condenser Tumble Dryer Water Pump Not Working
I have a Beko DCX83100W Condenser Tumble Dryer and followed you instructions online. But the water pump is not working despite changing the part.
Hi Nick, sorry to hear about your Beko DCX83100W condenser tumble dryer problem.
If changing the pump hasn't worked, there could be a couple of issues. First, check the micro switch in the manual to see when it should be active. Next, see if there's voltage going to the pump. The cables from the circuit board might not be working right.
Another issue might be that the circuit board isn't sending power to the pump. Look at the workshop manual to figure it out. If you need help, feel free to call me; my number is in the email.
Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been very busy with work and travelling. I hope this information helps. A digital multimeter (available for around £15–£25) is invaluable for troubleshooting electrical issues like this. Check the micro switch
The micro switch controls when the pump should activate during the drying cycle. Consult your Beko DCX83100W manual to identify its location and understand when it should be triggered. A faulty micro switch can prevent the pump from receiving the signal to operate, even if the pump itself is in good condition.
Test for voltage at the pump
Use a multimeter to check whether voltage is reaching the pump connector. Set your meter to the appropriate DC or AC voltage setting (your manual will specify which). If there's no voltage present, the issue likely lies upstream—either in the wiring harness or the control board.
Inspect the wiring and connectors
Check all cables running from the circuit board to the pump for signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections. Even a partially disconnected wire can prevent power from reaching the pump. Look for burnt marks or discolouration around the connectors.
Circuit board diagnosis
If voltage isn't reaching the pump despite the micro switch being triggered, the circuit board may not be sending power correctly. This is more complex to diagnose and may require professional repair or board replacement.
