Beko DCU8230 Condenser Tumble Dryer Noisy
Hi love all your videos. I have a Beko DCU8230 Condenser Tumble Dryer. I couldnt find one that showed how to change the front felt support system. The dryer works fine, its clean but it is noisy. There is a lot of play at the front of the machine suggesting the felt and associated bearing pads need replacing. Can you help? Many thanks martin
I will try and help with this problem about Beko DCU8230 Condenser Tumble Dryer,
Good morning, Martin. Thank you for your question about your Beko condenser tumble dryer.
Firstly, I have added a link at the top of the page and some links at the bottom for any spare parts you might need. I haven't made a video on replacing that component yet. The front felt system stops fluff from getting inside the cabinet, but there are two roller wheels at the front of the machine that support the drum.
You should inspect the back bearing and the front two rollers. You can see these in the exploded diagram below, listed as 1459. These are part of the roller assembly. The genuine part number for these is 2969900200. These parts often wear out and might need replacing.
I found a workshop manual for your machine that shows how to disassemble the cabinet and replace these parts. It also shows how to access and inspect the back bearing, which is usually made of phosphorous bronze and can wear out.
You should also check the pulley wheel on the motor and ensure the belt is in good condition, as this can cause noise too.
I hope this information helps you. It took me some time to gather it all for you. There is also useful information on diagnosing faults, fault finding, and error codes for your machine. It’s worth watching a video on maintaining condenser tumble dryers, as they need maintenance every couple of years to remove fluff inside the machine.
